Turku is reachable by air via Helsinki, Stockholm or Copenhagen. Shuttle bus service from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport to Turku is also available. The shuttle bus takes approximately 2½ hours, departing every hour. Ferries between Stockholm and Turku are operated by Silja Line and Viking Line twice per day. This route takes you through one of the most beautiful archipelagos in the world; The Stockholm archipelago having marvelous Scandinavic type villa’s and the Turku archipelago which has more wild forest and small summer cottages. Local transportation.
Local bus number 1 (From Airport select “Lentoasema-Rydöntie-Kauppatori” and from the Harbour select “Satama-Kauppatori” the first column is Monday-Friday, second Saturday and third Sunday) leaves from the airport approximately every 20-30 minutes. The busstop is in front of Sokos Hotel Hamburger Börs. Most of the other hotels available are with-in a walking distance from the busstop.
The local bus number 6 (select “Kauppatori-Vaala” the first column is Monday-Friday, second Saturday and third Sunday) takes you directly from the Market Place to the conference site. The bus stop is in front of the FOREX, beside Sokos Hotel Hamburger Börs.
Taxi’s are not all that expensive to use (due to short distances rather than cheap fares), one way ticket from the airport to down town costs approximately 15-20 € and the trip from the hotel to the conference site is somewhat cheaper.

Blue1 flies to Turku, Tampere and Helsinki from Brussels, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Copenhagen, Oslo, Gothenburg and Stockholm.
Ryanair flies to Tampere from London and Frankfurt-Hahn. Tampere is less than 2 hour train trip from Turku.
Air Finland flies mainly to destinations in Southern Europe.
